Description
A celebration of the moment when spring first stirs the world awake, this watercolour painting captures the soft radiance of pink dahlias nestled against a lush green, leafy backdrop. Inspired by a photograph taken in a garden just as the season was turning, the artwork preserves that instant when the flowers caught the my eye — bright, gentle, and impossibly alive.
Each petal is carefully, layered to echo the natural fullness of dahlias in bloom. The surrounding foliage, painted in deep and varied greens, creates a tender contrast that lets the blossoms glow.
This piece is perfect for collectors who love botanical art, quiet moments, and the poetry of nature. It brings the feeling of standing in a garden at first light — when colour feels new, and beauty arrives softly, without announcement.
Painted from a photograph taken in a spring garden, this piece holds the exact moment the dahlias stopped me in my tracks — their pink petals glowing against a cradle of green leaves, as if the season itself had leaned in to whisper.
This artwork is a small ode to spring’s first invitation, a gentle reminder to take a deep breath and stop to smell the dahlias very now and again..
